Introduction
Art & Design students can connect to the Art & Design Server network file share FileStorage from any Mac by following these steps.
This includes connecting from A&D lab computers and student owned machines, while connected to Cal Poly wired or wireless networks.
Users can connect with both popular sharing protocols:
• AFP (Mac)
• SMB (Windows and Mac)
Both work fine. If you don't select a protocol, it will be added automatically when you first connect.

Right click (or Control + Click) on the Finder icon in the Dock.

Select: Connect to Server...

In the Connect to Server window, enter the following: 129.65.38.38

Click the Connect button.

Enter your Cal Poly portal user name and password.

Click the Connect button.

If the connection fails, verify:

Your computer is connected to the Cal Poly network

The server IP addess prefix is ether: afp:// or smb://
